All of our lumber comes from within a 30 mile radius of our Grove City, Pennsylvania sawmill, and most of it stays pretty close by after it leaves. We sell directly to local woodworkers, cabinet shops, furniture makers, and flooring companies. There's no mistaking quality Pennsylvania woodworking, and that reputation for excellence starts with the right lumber for your job.
We specialize in domestic hardwood oak, maple, cherry, walnut, and hickory.
Experience in our craft
Alben Sawmill has been a family business since we opened in 1982. Dan grew up at the sawmill, working after school and weekends until he took over from his father, Ray, in 2002. A lifetime of experience means higher quality, safer work, and better service.
Family run
Father Ray and son Dan have operated Alben Sawmill since 1982. Dan's wife Shawna even spent years at the sawmill before joining the family and the business in 2000. Now Dan and Shawna's kids enjoy helping out just like Dad did, although they won't be taking over anytime soon.
